Flower Thoughts…

Hello Everyone and welcome back to the blog!

Recently, I have been inspired to draw flowers and plants. Drawing plants is something fairly new to me, but I love trying new things, and I have been enjoying this new experience so much. My favorite part is probably using colored pencils to add splashes of colors which just gives my drawings a whole new element.

Today I wanted to share with you three of my drawings. I drew tulips (first drawing), daffodils (second drawing), and cacti (third drawing).

I’m going to leave you with this beautiful quote I found by Mother Teresa: “The trees, the flowers, the plants grow in silence. The stars, the sun, the moon move in silence. Silence gives us a new perspective.”

  1. Hi Beanie! Seeing the drawings of the flowers u posted brought a smile to my face! Thank u for included the desert flowers! They remind me of the beauty of the desert where temperatures can be extreme from heat to cold and despite water not being in abundance, God rewards us with these beautiful cactuses, green, purple and blooming with delicious, sweet and juicy prickly pears! 🙂 My favorite flower is the sunflower b/c it’s bright and so bold! It says, “Hello! God is so good! Let’s be joyful together!” 😉

  2. I enjoyed all of these, but the daffodils in particular are quite lovely. I like how you use little individual lines to add texture. My favorite plant, cliche as it may be, would have to be a red rose. It’s a classic, and there’s so much symbolism to it.

  4. P.S. My favorite flowers are tulips too! We had them in my front yard when I was little, so they’re sentimental to me hahaha xP

  5. Hi Sabrina,
So pretty! I love the daffodils. I’ve tried drawing flowers before (mostly sunflowers and birds of paradise, my favs) but they never come out very good. But you draw them so beautifully 😀 I look forward to seeing more of your drawings 😀
